«Foaie verde» green leave - many rumanian folk songs begin with these words and often, they address not people but nature itself. Rumanian folk music is the key element of this quintett which has gathered around singer Irina Ungureanu. The band is searching for new ways of interacting within these archaic songs. As a chamber ensemble they bend musical borders only to unify the extremes: simplicity and complexity, composition and improvisation, fierce rawness and tender beauty, tradition and modernity.
